This is my mom life this morning. My daughter refuses to latch (I tried this morning and I’ve tried all the tricks so please no tips because I just get frustrated). Last night I discovered mold on my one pump hose so I have to now pump one boob at a time until I get my new ones. I now know how to prevent the mold. My daughter last week started sleeping from 10:30 until 5 which is wonderful. Last night she decided she was hungry at 3:30 so I fed her. I should have pumped then but decided to try and stay with my pumping schedule since I struggle to keep my milk supply in a manageable range. I didn’t set an alarm because I figured she would have woken me up for it like she has been doing (I pump shortly after she wakes up in the morning). This all led to me waking up to a hungry baby and my breasts screaming at me while I’m soaked in breast milk because I drenched my nipple pads. Sometimes you just have to do what you have to to get through.

My nipples are fine. The rest of my breast can scream at me. I have been blest with lots of milk. I originally had to cut back because I was becoming anemic and now I’m trying to cut back more because I’m running really low on freezer space to the point of giving away some of my home raised steaks to make room. I’d donate some but I don’t feel comfortable meeting strangers that know I have a baby and my hospital doesn’t have any program for it either. I might be forced to stop. Every time I pump I ask myself why. This is time consuming and annoying when I want to go anywhere. Sorry for the long post. Apparently I needed to get a lot off my chest this morning

I had trouble with my son latching too, I pumped for 2 months before I was just done. No amount of nipple cream was going to help soothe them.
