My son has thrush and it not getting better it actually got worst and now he doesn’t eat much and…

If it’s a normal case of oral thrush, it shouldn’t have that effect on him as they’re not suppose to feel anything. He’s a newborn so I would definitely take him to the pediatrician ... they have antibiotics for thrush.

Where's the thrush at and are you breastfeeding? My son had it on his bottom and it caused bleeding diaper rash, which was pretty painful. Thrush in the mouth can also be pretty painful and cause babies to not want to eat. Definitely get him checked out again by his PED if you think the thrush has gotten worse.

@samantharosecoco, I don’t breastfeed anymore but he cries while eating and when I wipe his tongue it bleeds

@mommy_domo, oh poor little guy, that sounds miserable. Did you finish the nystatin? Definitely sounds like another trip to the doctor is needed to get him feeling better.

In the meantime, make sure you're sanitizing all bottle parts and pacis between every use. That will help kill the bacteria off everything and not keep exposing him to it each feed. The sanitizing bags at Target or Amazon are super easy ways to help keep everything clean and thrush bacteria only dies off the bottles when exposed to high heat.

@samantharosecoco, nope I didn’t finish the nystatin only had it about it week and it has made it worst like it spreading and he has an appointment in a couple hours
