My husband went to buy some pain reliever for our teething 1 year old getting her molars. I guess they did a recall on all of the Orajels, and they are not able to sell them anymore. Does anyone have any good pain relieving methods? Looks like she might be getting both of her upper molars and her bottom ones are getting into place, as well.

All of the Orajels are on recall?? Even the infant ones? I just bought some for my daughter last week...do you know why?

Ibuprofen though, for the inflammation and pain in one!

@ajowens1547, from what we read, the infant ones have been recalled. They’re saying it’s because it has benzocaine, which they say may cause methemoglobinemia. It was recalled 6 days ago.

The orajel isn't good. I'd go for infant Motrin over that

@kambam, thanks! I did give her some of that but it doesn’t take all the pain away.

Yeah it's rough for a while but I would give my son the Motrin about an hour before bed it would at least help him sleep. Other than that you can try to massage the tough spots or apply some pressure to the areas for a few seconds at a time

I’d let my daughter chew on soft popsicles, the coldness would numb her for a little bit
