Has anyone had second thoughts to throwing their baby shower? We have been thinking over and over about spending all that money on a venue, food, decor and cake etc. We have to sign the contract and turn in it with the money order by the end of May. We are spending to much money on this shower which I probably won’t make it back on gifts. We just rather spend it on the baby and buy all the things he needs. What would you mommies do? Any suggestions?
Yes ours was small n when I say we needed 2 cars to take home everything I was soo shocked if u do so one do It small but be mindful of ppl u know is really gonna come so get a place a little bit bigger if it's like that
I wouldn’t waste money on a venue. Do something at home. Very inexpensive and just have some finger foods in the late afternoon. You don’t have to spend a ton of money.
@stephanieg78 a small party or gathering where you ask guests to bring in random sizes of diapers...then you do a diaper raffle for everybody who.brought diapers. Whoever's name is drawn wins a prize from the host. You can still play baby shower games and such...it's just not about getting baby gifts. And it's more a chill vibe so it's usually at home...
I did exactly what you're thinking...I cancelled it and bought what we needed. Then I just had a diaper party instead
I had a huge baby shower for my daughter, it was so exhuasting and my family spent to much I chose not to have one for my son and jus decided to have a welcoming bbq wen hes a bit older that people can bring some gifts to but nothing fancy and jus close friends and family.
