Well I was admitted in the hospital yesterday for preterm labor 2cm dilated and 50% effaced.

Yes I had my cerclage done at 19 weeks. It’s been fine so far and I’m 23 weeks now. I’ve been on strict bed rest since then. I was dilated to a 4 when they did mine and I was told that my cervix would continue to open until I lost them. Did they give you an alternative?

@busymomof6, noo!! This would be my first time having one 4th pregnancy only 1 living ... they said ill get a spinal before they start the procedure and stuff. Im just so scared to get one thinking its gone make her come sooner but hear lots of good stories about it. Im currently 23 weeks myself

@neshalashay, I had the spinal also. It’s not as bad as it sounds. I had an hour to make my choice. They will take you in the operating room where they give the spinal. They will numb you from the waste down them turn you back on the table head down so they can operate. It doesn’t take too long and from what I understand the only option of saving your baby. It doesn’t induce labor. All of this was of course my experience and how It was explained to me. The worst part for me was waiting for the numbness to ware off.

@neshalashay, I got it at 19 weeks and I’m just now 23 weeks. I’ve been on bed (house) arrest since then.
