I received my test results back on Wednesday and thankfully my doctor called me today. She told me that I am positive for having the lupus anticoagulant and this is most likely why I had a miscarriage over Mother’s Day weekend. She told me when I get pregnant again that she will start me on aspirin and heparin. I do not know what to think right now.

No worries. I've had Lupus for 11 years now. My first pregnancy was when I was 17 but I had no idea I was pregnant. Second pregnancy was when I was 20 & I found out when I was like 4 weeks, called my doc and they immediately put me on a blood thinner and a baby aspirin. He's a healthy and active 2 years old now ! I then got pregnant again year and am now 33 weeks. I see a risk doctor when I'm pregnant and they make sure the baby is safe !!! I promise they watch you like they care ! This pregnancy I had to take oral progesterone in the beginning along with the shots and baby aspirin. They plan on delivering her at 37 weeks and 3 days.
