Ok this might be a little long...
So hubby is about to graduate from national aviation school in a couple of months and there’s so many job offers. But it all came down to two jobs. One where he can make the same as he is making now or the other one where he can make 10$ extra an hour. He really likes this company where he can make exactly what he is making now. He said I can pick which one he can work at since we can’t make up our minds. I obviously want him to take the company where he makes 10$ extra so we can afford a nicer house and bigger car for our family but I don’t want him to work somewhere where he doesn’t enjoy the job and it’s only for the money. And I know family is more important than Money. But I feel like if he takes the job that he makes the same now then I feel like we are not improving in life. Any advice ???

if he’s okay with you choosing which one. that means he’s okay with doing either or.

@ashleyrod, I know but I feel bad choosing the one that pays 10$ extra cos he’d just be working for the extra money not cos he really enjoys it ☹️ I want him to work in something he enjoys doing but I don’t want him to hate me or blame me later on in life if he goes to work for something he dosnt enjoy 😅😅

$10 more. Sometimes you have to make sacrifices in life to make things better. He may not like the new job at first but he may grow to like it. Plus, you both will be happy because y'all won't be worried about finances so much.

I don’t really think it’s fair of him to put this decision on you tbh. You aren’t the one that will be working there day in, day out- how is it fair to ask you to decide for him? I would tell him that obviously I would rather he take the better paying job as it would benefit our family the most, however, I also understand the need to work somewhere enjoyable, and therefore would support him either way, but can’t make his decision for him. Like you said, you don’t want to be the one to blame if he hates it down the road.

Has he tried negotiating with the company he’s at now? Let them know he’s interested in another company, and see if they are willing to match that company’s offer.

@currentlybaking, he’s not interested in the company he’s now lol he’s a part time local truck driver. But what he wants is something in aviation since that’s what he’s in school for. And there’s no way big aviation company’s are willing to negotiate

I would absolutely take the better paying job 🤷♀️ later he may find a job he likes more and they will have to pay him more because of what he'll be making.

I think the benefits and room for advancement matter more than even a $10 pay difference. Try looking at those, that might help :)
