Have any of you Mama's planned or been to a baby shower that a "save the date" invitation was sent? My shower is September 8th and I know it's around the end of summer and kids going back to school so I know people have alot going on. I don't want to seem pushy but I also don't want for people not be able to come. Opinions ladies?
I was wondering the same thing. Our baby shower we're aiming for September 16th.
@ellyium that's one of the reasons I'd like to do a save the date, I don't want to have too much or not enough of things
Plus mine is the weekend right after school ends in NYC and I know folks may be going away for vacation.
I have a save the date. So I know how much food to buy for my guest and for the party favors too
@vanessa89breanne, it’s ok, I was thinking of sending out the invites 2-3 weeks in advance and the save the dates about a month in a half in advance. Only because around the beginning of school things are hectic and I feel if I send it too far in advance ppl will forget
Sorry edited the response I accidentally sent it in the midst of typing lol
@lee-lee I wanted to send my invites out like a month and a half in advance, when are you sending yours? Your save the dates??
I’m having the same dilemma my shower is september 22nd im going to do save the date cards and then my invite with RSVP
I totally understand, no “save the date” seems fine , that’s the new form of invites lol ..
@jellybeans_mumm I'm due October 27th, I'll be 33 weeks exactly on the day of my baby shower. The place is booked and paid for, I know the date won't always work for everyone I just want to give a sufficient amount of time but not seem pushy, ya know? Does a save the date seem tacky?
@angelbrownell26 I think im gonna wait for 2 weeks to find out what we're having, so I'm at least able to have either pink or blue and send out the save the dates and than about a month and a half before the shower I'll send out the actual invites
