It's almost 2am and I can't sleep. Just have a lot on my mind. We are currently TTC and yesterday my husband told me I could barely handle our son all day let alone another baby. He said if we don't conceive this cycle or next he wants to wait at least a year if not more to try again when our son is older. Well that takes all the excitement and happiness I felt about it away. If we didn't get lucky this cycle I don't know if I want to try now. Just starts making me think about my sister who also wanted us to wait so she could have a chance to conceive as well as a few family members I can think of that would probably wish we'd wait longer to. Just feeling really down right now.

I think it would be really selfish for any other family members to wish you would wait so they can have babies at the same time.
You need to do what’s right for you and hubby 💕

@oceanbabe424 it's because our son is a huge mama's boy he always wants to be with me. He thinks it will be too hard having a new baby and him wanting and needing my attention. I'm a SAHM so it's mainly me with my son all day my husband only helps me by putting our son to sleep for the night. I just can feel that my husband doesn't want this/ not ready for it even though he told me its what he wanted before.

@belleanne mainly it's because my sister wants to be pregnant by herself and not have to share any of her spotlight with me. I just thought my husband and I were on the same page with wanting a new baby and now after he said that I just feel like it's not what he really wants.

Honestly, I wouldn’t stop trying for another. It’s never guaranteed to get pregnant right away so the more you try the better your chances. It could even be a year by the time you get pregnant. Your husband needs to try stepping up his daddy game and needs to bond with your son. He’s prolly scared he’ll have to do more when the second comes around. I don’t know why some men are like this.
As for your sister. Who cares! She can get over herself. If she isn’t pregnant right now who knows how long it will take for them! You do what you feel is good for your situation. If you truly want another then go for it! 😊 Don’t let anyone make you second guess your decisions or steal your joy. 💜

@snoestorm He assumes since I got pregnant on the first try last time that it will happen really quick again. Yes! I think that's part of it to that he doesn't want to lose sleep with a newborn or have to help me out more. My sister's been trying off and on for a year and hasn't gotten pregnant so she's a little sour that other people all around her are getting pregnant. I feel bad but I'm not trying to have a baby to hurt her or anything I know in the end she'd be happy with a new niece or nephew because she loves my son so much.

@aylenrose, We got pregnant on the first try for our first born as well lol this time it took us almost 5 months to get pregnant but I miscarried last month. You can’t assume anything during ttc and pregnancy and men just don’t get that sometimes.
I feel for your sister’s situation. Maybe it’d be best for her to talk to her doc about it. If she’s still telling you to wait for her to get pregnant because she wants all the attention she’s having a baby for the wrong reasons. On a more positive note! I hope you and hubby start trying again 💜 you have a good heart and we need more of that in our world!!
