The doctors office really wanted to base my EDD on my LMP even though i know the date of conception. My cycles are like 30-36 days long they’re all over the place. But nope!!! The office goes by LMP. so i guess that makes me 5+2

The EDD honesty is an educated guess because no one can accurately tell you when your baby will arrive. That's up to baby and God. Two days really isn't that far off. Also, when they do an anatomy scan it may be off again. Pregnancy is unpredictable.

@wvmommy, it’s not two days it’s a week and that week could make the difference of me being a week overdue and being induced again

They use LMP as a guess w the average 28 day cycle

I have long cycles too and they always start with my LMP. Once I have an ultrasound they change my due date if it's more than a week off. It's normal.

I have a 30 day cycle and I know when I ovulated which was April 25th. I’m 6 weeks and 1 day but I’m sure my Ob will say I’m 6 weeks 3 day to go by lmp

Have you had an ultrasound yet? Usually they’ll base your EDD on your dating scan not your LMP at least that’s what my OB does

They will go by lmp until the first ultrasound. It’s normal
