This baby sitter that we have been using for Shelby since she was 4 months old is about ready to be cut off. She has pretty much taken over the role of grandma so her and our family has been pretty close. We have had a few problems with her this whole time though. One, she is the type of person that if you don't do things her way that you are wrong. This includes parenting decisions. And two, we don't share the same religious practices and she constantly says passive aggressive comments about it. But tonight was the last straw. She was dropping Shelby off when she said she had to keep reminding Shelby to say grace before she ate. Well, we don't do that here. She said Shelby is going to grow up to be a monster if we don't go to church and pray before meals. I about snapped. I asked her to leave so I could calm down then I sent her the most polite text that I could for being as pissed as I was. I pretty much told her that you don't have to go to church every Sunday and pray before every meal to believe in God. Which we do. A good person is a good person and good morals are good morals regardless of religion of lack thereof. But how dare you call my child a monster because we don't practice religion in the same way.... I think I made her mad because she never said anything back. Oh well.
