Can anyone tell me how to go about getting the gender found out sooner? Like how soon can you get it…

You can do a blood test at 10 weeks. Not sure the cost.

I found out through the harmony test at 11 weeks with my first. With my second I just waiting until the us. It's very expensive if insurnace doesn't cover it.

I did the harmony test and found out gender at 14 weeks. It was not covered as I was not high risk. My husband and I opted for it as we wanted thorough genetic testing so we could be prepared if something was wrong, gender was just a bonus! It cost over $500 but I'm in Canada so not sure if it would be comparable in the US.

@catlikethief, does insurance cover if it’s high risk? I’m high risk and so they’ve been doing a lot of ultrasounds and blood tests so I hope my insurance will cover the harmony test!

@buntaine, they may cover if your doctor thinks you're high risk for down syndrome, Edwards syndrome or other genetic disorders.

@buntaine, yea I wasn’t expecting it. But it was the Materni21 blood test for genetic testing for abnormalities so def worth it.

Check to see if your insurance covers the harmony test at 11 weeks. I can’t remember the turn around but I think You get the results within 2 weeks.

10 weeks. It’s done when they do the genetic testing if you opt for it. It didn’t cost extra for me and was covered by insurance. They just throw in gender at the end of the report cause they already know it when searching through looking for abnormalities

I did sneak peak at 11 weeks & confirmed gender at 15 with the paranorma blood test. Both were the same results one was 80 dollars and the other was like 1200.

I did sneak peak at 9w. Confirmed at 12w5d. It was accurate.

According to my dr the only way that they will do it is if they find something wrong with the baby. And if you want it done then here it cost $3,000.

I did a 3D ultrasound at 14 weeks $40 I’m in Cali though went to a place called heavenly 3D ultrasound it’s a places that do ultrasound for enjoyment
