@anna20201, stimulation of your areola/nipple causes your prolactin levels to rise which signals your pituitary gland in the brain to produce more milk. It is not false. Products that claim to increase supply are just marketing scheme to get you to give them your money.
I’ve tried eating certain foods that are supposed to help increase your supplementation and nothing worked. I’ve purchased teas, even lactation smoothie drinks. One of my friends recommended Legendairy Milk products and those are the only organic supplements that worked wonders. Went up to pumping 5-6oz off each breast.
@avahcruz, I didn’t mean that increasing demand would help with supply was false. But There has been food like steel cut oats that have shown an increase in supply.
@anna20201, the role foods play in relation to Breastmilk is nutrition content, but not the actual amount you produce. Just think of women in 3rd world countries with little access to food who successfully breastfeed.

There is no food or drink you can consume that will increase your supply. Milk is supply and demand. Move milk to make milk.

Yes, old fashion steel oats.

@avahcruz, that’s false

The same way that certain foods can decrease your supply, certain foods can increase your supply.
Yes milk is supply and demand. But there is also certain foods that help.

@avahcruz, food is not the only way to increase breast milk. Everyone can agree to that but I still stand by certain foods and plants helping.

@anna20201, that’s fine, if everyone agreed with each other about everything the world would be too simple. 😁
