Ouch! My last delivery they really butchered one of my hands. They ended up having to use the other, but the one they messed up on I had a huge bruise on my hand going up my arm for a few weeks after delivery.
@ananix16, yes, the nurse was new to putting them in and had a more experienced nurse guiding her. I don’t think women in labor are the best test subjects when learning! This time around I will speak up and ask for someone else if that happens.

Yes they hurt and they always put it in my left hand and I'm a lefty
