My sweet baby got his helmet. Did anyone else have to have their baby in a helmet? Hoping it…

My son was on the fence and I chose not to. I regret that as he’s 4 and flat head. I wish I had done it! Great job and this is beyond adorable!!

He is sooo stinkin cute!! I didn't have any personal experience with this but my nephew had to have one.

@bcsweetie_b.b. that's where we took him, the specialists said no helmet until he took scans and saw he did in fact need one. Hoping he doesn't have to wear it long!

@sherilynne23 how long did your nephew end up having to wear his?

@mommypoppin I noticed his a few months ago and mentioned it to his pedi who said he didn't need one but if I wanted a second opinion they would give me a referral so that's what I did. The orthotics even said he didn't need one until he took scans of his head then said he definitely did need to have one. Glad I followed my gut and went through so many doctors. Hoping he doesn't have to wear it long!

My oldest daughter had one when she was a baby, she had ITP.

My oldest was a helmet baby. He wore it for 6-7 months. He got it off before his first birthday.

@mrschanandlerbong95 that was the ballpark estimate he mentioned to me, I'm really hoping it's not that long. He'll have to wear it 23 hours a day 😣

@livinthatmomlife, ours was the same. It was really easy for him to get used to wearing it. After a week, it didn’t bother him at all. By the end of it, he actually wanted to wear it.

@livinthatmomlife, she was mainly supposed to wear it while playing, that way if she fell and bumped her head it wouldn’t bruise or anything, but she threw a fit when I’d put it on her, so she didn’t wear it a whole lot, but she was only like 6 or 7 months old when she got diagnosed with the ITP, but after every other week going back and forth to Louisville and rounds of medicine she got cleared.

@mrschanandlerbong95 did he sweat really bad in it? Mine just pours sweat out of his and I guess that's normal in the beginning?

@livinthatmomlife, yes. He sweat pretty bad. He wore it during summer months and we live in Texas. If he got real sweaty, we took it off and let his head breathe for a little bit.
