@mims, you can keep track of what you eat and the allergist can check for an allergy to it. They test babies on their back it’s just a little kinda rub test to seeing if they act up. My son also gets them if he gets bit by mosquitos or ants, but with bug spray he was good to go. At first it’s overwhelming and there are long lists of what they can’t do or take but as long as U have ur list when you go to hospitals or the dentist it will be fine.

@2nyyankfan, thank you. She's 4months and the whole allergy part worried me because she's breastfed. It's flared up 3 times so idk if it's something I ate or what

My six year old has it. He gets chicken pox looking bumps on him. When They fare up they look like blisters. I had appointments every 6 months to monitor his break outs and I would suggest seeing an allergist to get tested for allergies because they can cause more break outs. Once you know what they are allergic to you can prevent more breakouts. Also, the heat or rubbing on them causes them to flare up. They referred my son to get checked to make sure he didn’t have any internally and he would have to go yearly to a hematologist to get blood work. He started going when he was around 2 and I haven’t taken him for the last year and a half since he was released from the care of the hematologist.

My daughter had something similar on the back of her neck and it went away after 1.5 years. The doctor wasn’t worried. I’m not sure if it was the same thing technically but by the photos it’s pretty similar. It flares up and also goes flaky and dry in the cold seasons.

I would just go see the derm. I don’t trust one speciality to treat another. It’s like going to a foot doctor to take out your tonsils 🤷🏻‍♀️

Wow, I've never even heard of this. I would definitely do what you're doing and get more info from him. I hope someone here has an experience with this mama❤

I’m not a fan of wait and see diagnosis from pediatricians. Remember, they’re a jack of all trades master of none. If it’s a special problem, see a specialist. I’d just book an appointment with a dermo and not google.

@i_accidentally, he gave me a print out. She never acts like it bothers her. Basically we are going to keep measuring it at every apt and document any changes. If it has any changing we get sent to a dermatologist for a biopsy. I'm thinking of calling the dr tomorrow because I just don't understand some of the stuff about it. But I was trying to see if anyone here had any insight too.

@mims 🤦🏽oh dear goodness! Google is awful. The doc didn't give you any sources or handouts explaining everything? Is they're anyway you could go back up there and ask for him to give you these things? Does it hurt her at all? Poor baby

@i_accidentally, thanks. It's just a spot. Mass of cells. Dr called it an allergy spot and I've been googling but you know Google cough cough cancer.
