My girls are 13 months apart. It's definitely a challenge.

Involve the 1yo with care for the baby that way she doesn't feel left out and she'll get the attention she needs as well. & she won't feel replaced, and you have an eye on both babies. Try to schedule their nap time around the same time that way you get a break. It helps alot trust me.

If your baby is energetic like mine, while you care for the newborn turn on sesame street or something she likes to watch to keep her occupied.

Baby gates, baby gates are miracle workers lol, get her new toys after the baby arrive, will also keep her entertained while you care for the newborn.

It is a challenge but it's easier & less stressful when you have a plan.

My two oldest are really close it was OK they both are boys though I just had to remember that one was older but I love it they fight alot thou geesh

@icestorm1123 Thank you so much! My husband is a stay at home dad and while he's awesome at it, he's not the best planner. I'm worried he's going to get overwhelmed with things and I won't be around to help. My daughter is a total daddy's girl and she's used to getting all of his attention.

That's good he's a stay at home dad. But keep encouraging him to have a plan, give him tips, shoot him videos to watch, because it can be overwhelming in the beginning.
