My son has had cold like symptoms for 2 weeks now. His nose is very congested and he has a cough. No fever. When he first started this cold I noticed he had a white ring sore inside his mouth. I was terrified lol but everyone convinced me it was from him hurting his mouth by playing with something sharp like his fingers. Well today I noticed the one that was there is gone and there is another one in a different place. Should I take him to the doctor?

I would take him to the doctor. It kind of sounds like thrush but I’m not sure. How’s his tongue?

@angelreaper171, his tongue is clear so far. I just hope the sores have nothing to do with him being sick.

I would take him in. My daughter was doing the same thing, and it turned out to be a double ear infection. But the white things sound like strep. Are they little bumps or like just a ring sore like you said?

@mrscecco316, ring sore and yes I kind of thought an ear infection might be the case. He sometimes pulls his ears

@buntaine, yes that's what it sounds like. My daughter was congested and had a dry cough, and she had a double ear infection. She was tugging and pulling on her ears also.
