Kindergarten graduation/party/ceremony

My sons school didn’t do anything either.

My sons school didn't have one. We have free pre k in Florida and most schools do a huge graduation for that so no need to do another big one just one year later. Plus they're not going to a different school or anything so what's the point?

My kid has some kind of ceremony. I know they’re performing a song but have no idea how elaborate the ceremony will be. They’ve been pretty low key about it.

My kids school is doing the Kindy 500. No graduation but it’s kind of a symbolic and fun way to end the year!!

My sons didn’t. I was surprised that it’s not that common. When I graduated kindergarten they had a huge ceremony with caps and gowns and even invited the governor. My mom has the picture.

That’s weird. Pre k, kindergarten and now 1st grade my son has always had a ceremony at the end of the school year.

My daughter’s did. They each had a cute little paper cap and their teacher called each one up and gave them a certificate and they also passed the microphone around and said what they wanted to be when they grew up.

None of my kids ever had a kindergarten graduation, neither did I or anyone I know for that matter lol. I think it depends on where you live. My son they did nothing my daughter had a concert.

Did you ever update on what happened at your SIL party? Did you end up bringing anything?

We don’t at our school. I personally think the graduations for each grade is a bit too much.

My son is also in kindergarten. They are not doing a graduation, but he did have one both years of pre-school/pre-K. That was a private school, now he's in public. The ceremonies were adorable ❤️

My son's school is having the kindergartners and 5th graders put on a little concert. There singing a few songs there calling it a graduation celebration.

My son is in first grade, the don't do ceremony or celebration for them, it was the same when he was in kindergarten. We parent did planned a party for them separately in their classroom & we are gonna do the same this year.
