I’ve always heard what you serve at your baby shower depends on what time of day. Like if your shower is scheduled during lunch time you would have actual entrees and side dishes but if your shower is between meals a lot of people serve finger foods like appetizers.

Stuff like that is why I planned my own baby shower.

Have a conversation with her , it's your shower have whatever you want regardless of the time . My baby shower with my first was from 3-8 and I had a Thanksgiving feast literally

Lunch time youd serve actual food like pizza chicken something in between like 3:30 finger foods. I had mine at 3:30 we did fruit chips n dip buffalo chicken dip and cake\ cupcakes
