Just found out I have gestational diabetes. Moms out there with it or been through it? Just picked up a blood glucose monitoring system, test strips and lancets. I'm kinda freakin' out. I know it's most likely to go away after the baby gets here but I really didn't want this to happen.

It’s very hard at first. I had it with my now two yr old. Specially having to poke myself 4 times a day and keeping up with the diet. But once u get a hang of it it truly gets easier . Just keep your head up ;)

@janery yeah the 4xs a day thing is gonna be tough for me. My job keeps me so busy.

@bbylopez, yeah it will be . But u will do just fine .. it’s depressing at times but it will make baby is fine .

I had a very rough time with it at first and I felt like I couldn’t eat what I wanted to and was so terrified of the possibility of having to take medicine to control it I went overboard with limiting carbs and I actually ended up in the hospital because of it. I think the biggest thing is to limit yourself but don’t over do it. You’ll figure out what you can have and how it affects your numbers.
