My son will be 2 this week. Here lately sleep has become the biggest battle. I am at my wits end and don’t know what to do!! I have tried shortening naps, redoing our nighttime routine, even having him come lay with me. Nothing is working and I don’t know what to do! He just screams and screams. Picture of my usually sweet, bedtime hating babe for attention.

Any toddler bedtime tricks or tips would be so greatly appreciated!!

Do you do bath before bed? You can try getting lavender bubbles or lavender scented shampoo. Maybe try dimming the lights after bath and before you put him into bed? I lotion my toddler up right after bath while he brushes his teeth and then I put on his pjs. Does he enjoy being read to? I usually end it with a book and then lay him in his crib. Some nights he knocks right out but some nights I hear him talking to himself and jumping around. But he eventually lays down and goes to sleep shortly after. I also have a little owl that lights up and plays music and I have that playing on his nightstand. Hopefully this phase passes quickly! I think our babies are days apart 😊 my son will be 2 this upcoming Sunday

@misscoco, yes he eats good! And I’ve tried that too. I bought one on amazon and we love it but the way the plugs are set in his room, he unplugs it and tries to play with it. 🙄

@ashley.sheeks it is definately a phase. I went through the same thing. Does he eat really good for you for dinner? We also put a mobile in her room that plays lullabies and projects stars on the ceiling. That helped too

I cut out naps completely and make sure she has a full belly, milk before bed. Bed time is 8:30 or 9 over here

We do a little lavender oil on our toddler when she needs to wind down. We also started a sippy cup with warm milk before bed. She didn't need any of this until she turned 2 1/2. I think it's a phase but sometimes they need something to help their senses shut off too.
