@mimixtmn unfortunately that's how bird are. They're usually very selective and not going to like everyone in the family. Lucy only likes me 4-6 months out of the year. meanwhile, she loves my SO the rest of the year. She's also not find of my toddler though we've never given them a chance to be in close proximity due to the safety hazard.
She’s beautiful!! I’ve always wanted a macaw I grew up with a cockatoo (my parents still have him) and got a baby African grey but sadly we had to get rid of the grey as she grew up she only liked my husband and literally hated all females and attacked my daughter and myself 😭 now I’m scared to get another bird.
@icebergahead oh she got me good once. I went to set her on her cage and she wasn't ready to go back in and she bit my hand pretty hard. Hard enough to break skin. I accidentally dropped her as well 😂
@nyramak, we had a Macaw growing up, it always tried to bite me though hehehhe
@icebergahead it's one of my favorites. It kind of shows her silly personality.
@nyramak, yes that’s how our cockatoo has always been he usually only likes my dad but now that he’s 27 years old he tolerates a bit of everyone (hates kids under the age of 8 and will screech if they come near so they don’t like him either lol) but our African grey she couldn’t be out of her cage unless only my so was around she would jump and viciously attack anyone else 😩 unlike the cockatoo who would only attack if you came to him. We tried so hard with her but it just wasn’t fair to anyone her included. I think I may get a macaw when my kids move out 😂.
