am i overreacting?

So it's been in the negatives, snowy, icy, and windy. Like, dangerously cold. I just found out my son's school had a fire drill today and he had to wait outside with no coat. I'm f*** ing irate. I understand that the kids couldn't go get their coats because then in the event of a real fire they might go get their coats but there's so much that could have been different. 1. The teachers could've gotten the kids ready ahead of time, or one of them could've brought the coats out to them. 2. If they had sent a letter home letting me know when they were going to do it, I could have dressed him in a sweater and a hoodie. 3. This is their first drill... Why TF wait till the very last minute, in January???
