just need to vent
I'm starting to feel really overwhelmed and I think things are finally starting to get to me. First off I want to say I love having my babies back home with me but after my first round of chemo pills it might prove to be too much for me to take care of them during the day by myself. So I was talking with my in home health nurse and she suggested going to apply for child care assistance because going through chemo changes what they approved and what they do not. So I decided to go try yesterday I was up there for two and a half hours. And I left not knowing if I was approved or not. I figured we make too much but I thought since they kept asking you for Dd's biological fathers information and seeing that I don't receive child support because he's in prison that maybe I can get some help for her. But that's not the case because I'm married. Which I understand but if you're going to spend all that time getting her bio dad's information you would think they would factor that into the decision. They spend more time getting his information then they did ours which I don't understand. If they don't even look at the fact he's not in the picture why even bother? So I'm still waiting to hear if we got approved or not. Because the caseworker helping us wasn't sure if she was supposed to count my social security disability as income or not. Because on the application it only ask for all earned income but disability is technically considered unearned income. In normal circumstances it would count but since this is a medical reason that I need childcare they are unsure on if it counts. Does that make sense? Basically if they don't count my disability we qualify for assistance, if they do we're Sol. And I called this morning to see if they had figured it out yet and they still don't know. Like on the way home well yesterday I broke down. Yes DD's father is in prison and it infuriates me. He doesn't have to worry about child care, providing everything else she needs, he gets glasses when he needs them he gets food provided to him he gets shelter without having to worry about it. The only thing that man has to worry about is to make sure others dony figure out why he's in there. I just think it's funny the state gets to pick and choose when my husband is responsible for my daughter and when he's not. My husband is responsible for her child care which is all well and good but if I want her to go to him when I pass I have to pay $5,000 to get her adopted. Which is crap because they should have took her biological father's rights when they had the chance.
