So I met with my home nurse last night and she very seriously lectured me on how I'm not supposed to lift my five month old son till 6 weeks after surgery. Apparently I can make my stoma herniate very easily until after it heals. But I told her that's not going to work because I don't have anyone that can watch my son for a month and daycare is too expensive. Well unbenounced to me my husband called his boss whose wife owns three daycares. She's charging us $35 for today and then $135 a week. Which is all well and good but no one told me until he was already gone with my baby. Which I understand why it was done that way. I probably wouldn't let him leave with my kid. But now I'm freaking out neither one of my kids have ever been in daycare. I have my three-year-old because let's face it toddlers don't require as much lifting. Thank goodness she's a climber and never wants help. I'm just hoping she can keep my mind busy all day because Mommy is freaking out. This will be the longest day of my life
