Moms of Intact Boys

Has anyone's ds experienced redness and swelling mid-shaft? I'm currently at the ER with my 2 year old son after noticing a couple of hours ago. Well... The doctor just came in, asked what was wrong, and goes "well... you're going to have to get him circumcised" before even looking at him. He then proceeds to pull back my son's foreskin, as he's screaming at the top of his lungs, until it bleeds... all just to tell me that he can't tell what's wrong because he couldn't retract it, which is why I should circumcise. But yeah... Does anyone know what could be the issue? I'll have to wait until tomorrow to call his pedi, meanwhile they did prescribe an antibiotic.
