Spotting/low hcg levels

Hello, I just found out I was pregnant on 3/19 with a blood test coming in at 50. We have been trying to have another baby for over a year. However Monday I started spotting. Very light and started in dark brown color and sometimes it's like a pinkish red. Any how they did another blood test yesterday 3/24 my hcg is now at 88. The doc said if it's under 200 he will b highly concerned but I spoke with a nurse and she said it went up over 60% so she said they are not going to take any action yet. My doc put in my mind that I can b pregnant with an ectopic preg. What are your opinions about what I should do? These r not typical hormone levels and I just need some support!!
