Married couples tax allowance

Hiya ? if anyone hasn't heard about this, if you're married and one of you isn't using your full tax allowance, you can give some of it to the other one. It's not as complicated as it sounds lol for example after having the kids I went from full to part time at work. I don't earn enough now to pay tax so my tax allowance (the amount you can earn before you have to pay tax on it) wasn't being used at all. It was just a matter of filling in a quick HMRC form online (I just googled married couples tax allowance) In a couple of weeks HMRC transferred some of my allowance to my husband. His tax code was changed so he can now earn more each year before he has to pay tax on it. If/when I do more hours I just have to ring them and they'll transfer it back to me. Good for mums that aren't working/ work part time ? xx

TTC #2 (or more) and married group-Join Us! I started a TTC group for women who are ttc #2 (or more!), and married. I didn't do it to specifically exclude others, but to allow women in similar situations to find each other. We can all still happily participate in the general forum, but I thought it would be nice to have like minded people to talk to about ttc and motherhood.
