Whooping cough

In the Er really nervous for results. Willow had her shots against it ( whooping cough) but there's still possibility oh catching it before 6 months. She's 6 months now and has been fighting this horrible cough that comes and goes for over a week now and in coughing fits that can last up to past 1-2 min where she stops breathing, turns purple and chokes and vomits at the end. Soooo scary ....In between she seems perfectly fine for a few hours... tonight a fever spiked. Anyone ever hear of a baby catching it after the vaccines?
