HELP!

My son is on a sleeping strike. He will go to bed between 7-8pm and then about an hour later he wakes up screaming and is inconsolable. I know he's not sick because he plays all day and is always happy. I've tried everything from shortening his daytime naps, to putting him down for the night a little later, just anything. Some nights he goes to sleep and sleeps all night, then some nights he wakes up crying multiple times. I'm not sure if it's due to him teething (he has 8 teeth) or just a sleep regression or something else. All I know is, I'm soooo tired. He will be 10 months old this Saturday.
