Little update. Zoe is only 10 days away from turning 9 months. I wanted to post this tree of life photo because I think our journey is coming to an end quickly. I feel by the time, or shortly after, she turns 9 months I will be completely dried up. I honestly can't believe I made it this far to begin with. From having to use an SNS with a shield. Finally weaning from shield to then cracked nipples that would not heal for 2&1/2 months!! Two rounds of reglan to boost my dwindling supply. Then teeth. Good lord. She bite through so deep it's taking time to heal. And now I'm getting over pneumonia. It has been a roller coaster of obstacles in our way and we pushed through. All of them. But my supply keeps decreasing. And so now I nurse and feed bottles until there is nothing left. It is bittersweet as this was not when I planned to stop. But I know that it is time. Breastfeeding is not easy but so worth it. I gave Zoe her best start to life and am glad I stuck with it!!
