waking baby to feed at 2 weeks
Baby needs to feed every 2-3 hours so I do it every 3. At night it's rough though. He won't wake up for his feedings. I've tried changing him, wiping him with a wipe, kept him cool, undressed him and even little tapping on his bum like I'm burping him.
So I’m getting mixed answers on this topic.. I learned at a baby class I took at the hospital that you need to get up and feed your baby every 2 1/2-3 hours. If they’re asleep you should wake them and feed them.. then I’ve heard from other people the exact opposite.. that you should sleep when they sleep and wake up to feed when they wake up.
What are you opinions on either option?
They say to never wake a sleeping baby but if I'm breastfeeding and have to feed him every 2 hours is it okay to wake him?
How long do you have to wake up every 2-3 hours to feed baby at night?
Mommies I have a question. My son (6 days old) had a Drs appointment today. She told me I had to feed him every 2 hours instead of 3. The problem is Isaiah only wants to feed on his time (every 3 hours) . I try and wake him up but he just falls right back to sleep. He's been that way since he was born. What do I do?
