Anyone know why Jack's toenails look like this? It's just the 2 big toes. They look like the new nail has grown underneath the old nail. It's odd looking!

Does this look like a dog? If so, what kind? Someone posted it on a lost dog Facebook page and said that she is very skinny and looks like she's been on her own for a while. She kind of looks like a baby fox or coyote to me.
