Baby sleeping on tummy

Liam sleeps really well on his tummy. During the day I let him sleep his tummy because I'm watching him and he takes longer naps that way and I can get things done. At night though I'm afraid something will happen while I'm asleep so I put him on his back. However he wakes up easily and always ends up in the bed with me and my husband which prevents me from sleeping well. I'm wondering at what age will I be able to let him sleep on his tummy and not have to worry.
