Okay can someone please tell me how this started. I see and hear it on a daily now. Asked someone when their birthday was and she responded "Mines is on July 11th." I can't stand it. Its like nails on a chalk board! Everytime I hear it I think. What you going to go dig for some coal or diamonds? Going on vacation to Explorer mines? Because those are the few times you would use the word MINES. Just stop. Sorry just needed to rant. So what's a word you can't stand that is now used All. The. Time. Let it be slang abbreviation or just downright improper grammar.
