Huge RAVE bills

So we moved a little over a month ago. At our old home all we had was Smud. It was a older duplex. Our Smud Bill was always 200-400 depending on the time of year. It sucked big time because we could never turn our water heater up. When we first moved in the first months Smud Bill was almost $600. Instead of fixing the issue they just turned it down really low. We where lucky to have a 3 min hot shower. So now we are in a newer home and everything was remodel and all new appliances. We just got our first Smud and pg&e Bill. Smud $33 and pg&e $29. Freaking $62 for both! And I'm home all day with the kids! So that's my rave! What's the most you've paid for Gas and Electric?
