Livid teacher denied dd lunch update edit

So my daughter has some special needs when it comes to her diet. She has sensory issues when it comes to eating. So she has a very limited variety of foods she will eat. She is on medication that suppresses her hunger and I make a point to pack her lunch with snacks and lunch items I know she will eat. Her teacher and team she works with knows this and knows my daughter will not touch school lunch if it's not a item she likes. So that means she will go all day without eating and come home very weak and hungry.... So yesterday there was a sub and after art was lunch. Well I guess art was in another room that day and my daughter had forgotten her lunch in the class. Well when it came time for lunch my daughter asked to go get it from the class room and the teacher told her no and to buy a lunch. Well like 95% of the school lunch days this was a item my daughter would not touch but the fruit. She only ate the pineapple. So now my daughter basically went without lunch and now we owe $7.50. If it was a item she liked I wouldn't care about the money or her not getting her lunch from the class. But now my daughter went hungry, bought a lunch she didn't like and all her cold lunch items are bad by the time she makes it home. School day starts at 7:30 and she normally doesn't get home till 4. Thats a long time to only have pineapples.. I've already called the school and am now just waiting for a call back from the principal... I want this teacher to get reprimanded. I can only imagine how many students she has done this to. Granted most kids will eat what's given but not my child and I'm sure plenty others. I'm not sure if I'm over reacting but right now I'm pretty pissed off. My daughter should never come home that hungry expecially when she had food I know she would eat going to waste in another room. I just don't see what was so hard about letting her grab her lunch real fast so she could eat. If a child needs to grad their lunch you help them get it! ********** EDIT AND UPDATE*** . I did use the term picky for my daughter instead of explaining my daughter's issues. So to clear it up. My daughter is adhd with sensory and social issues. This is more then just not wanting to eat certain foods this has to do with textures. Also it is very important she eats due to her meds. This is not something that we just push this is also orders from her team of doctors who work with her. It is also documented in her ieps and a requirement. So this is why her home lunch is a big deal. It's just not me catering to the whims of an 8 year old who doesn't want to eat her vegetables. I have spoken with the teacher as of yesterday who is going to talk to the aid and find out why she was not allowed to grab her lunch and to hopefully get an explanation. I understand it may have not been the subs fault but someone did drop the ball and I want to make sure this doesn't happen again. Hopefully the teacher will call at the end of the school day.
