New here have several ?s

So I have a lot of questions: What kind or brand do you use? Why do you like them? I'm seriously considering cloth but don't know where to start. Baby is 10 months and I'm so sick of diaper rashes even though I check/change him often. I'm considering pockets or prefolds.
