Am I thinking straight?

This morning I woke up to DH and DD being very upset. It's her Field trip today and she wants to wear a dress. She wears uniforms so her choices are dress, skort or pants. He insisted that she wears pants so she doesn't get cold and stays comfortable. Plus it's kinda raining and muddy outside. Anyways she gives him attitude. So he says, but she says she's breathing to calm herself down.
