HSG Test?

Hi, I am trying to conceive baby #2, (I have a two year old son) but it hasn't happened. I had a ruptured corneal ectopic pregnancy in October 2011. Surgery was needed. My doctor thinks I might have scar adhesions preventing a pregnancy. She said to have an HSG test. Has anyone had one? What is it like? Any cons to it?
