Cervical check update

Today I had a cervical check Bc I've had all of the preterm labor symptoms . I'm 75% effaced and the cervical check caused me to have regular contractions for an almost two hours. (was suppose to be on makenna but insurance and specialty pharmacy never came through) (bc I've had 5 preterm labors and 3 Nicu babies)I stopped to eat bc I hadn't eaten and downed lots of water. Got in some good protein. I was sent to labor and delivery for steroid shots and while there the nurse was going to send me home without even asking about anything else. I ask her about my contractions. Her response was go home and take Benadryl and see if it helps calm the (bh) contractions if not it's the rea deal and come back. I let her know I have a history of preterm labor and precipitous labors and I live an hour away and her response was "well we can monitor you but if we do your gonna have to stay all night and it is about to snow outside." We live in the deepest of the Deep South so its like a major event here w schools closing and roads closing and such. So now I'm home (high on Benadryl and the steroid they gave me)knowing I've been having contractions that could throw me over the edge into full blown labor just "waiting it out" and wondering why some cases are taken more seriously than others.
