We just had an 18 year old girl come running down our driveway, beaten and bloodied up and obviously a blubbering mess. Her boyfriend (my neighbor's 20 year old son, that lives in their home) beat her, and drug her around the yard by her hair. Her family lives in New York (we're in Texas) and listening to her call her mom broke my heart, talking about what he did to her and how she has nowhere to go. This boy's parents stood by and watched this mess happen and did nothing. I couldn't talk her into calling the police because she has an unpaid ticket and thinks she has a warrant. Thankfully her mom has a friend here that took her in until tomorrow when they'll be getting her a plane ticket home. Ugh. I'm not looking for advice or anything, I guess I needed to get it out. My heart hurts for her and her mom, as a mother to two daughters I can't even imagine hearing my DDs crying on the phone to me telling me all the things I heard her tell ? if you pray please pray for them, send your positive vibes, whatever
