Did I make the wrong decision?

? my DD2 (11 months) woke up with a fever, my thermometer wasn't working properly but I knew she had a fever as she was hot to the touch. I nursed her, she vomited all over me, I called and got an appointment and left immediately. We arrived at the pediatrician and her temperature was 102.5, I nursed her and she vomited on me again. They gave Tylenol and Motrin, they couldn't find anything "wrong" other than the fever and vomiting. They asked questions about UTIs within the family, our niece was just diagnosed with Kidney reflux and has frequent UTIs so the Dr assumes it's a UTI (she assumed this before I told her about our niece). She offered to do a catheter but I refused and requested a bag, her office closed an hour and a half ago but she told me when DD pees to take her to the lab and go from there. We're on two hours of this stupid bag and this baby hasn't peed in it, she's acting better (I'm assuming from the Tylenol/Motrin) but should I have let them do the catheter so we'd have answers now instead of this waiting game?!
