I just can't.

Why? Why do people suck so badly? We live within 10 minutes of my family and within 5 of my DHs, they never call, never ask about our children, I invite them to the park, I call often to update about things going on and nothing, I get nothing. Nobody cares. It's so upsetting to me. My mom is a Facebook grandma, constantly shares my pictures and likes/comments on everything but my DD1 doesn't even know who she is. We see my FIL every week at church and he literally says maybe two sentences to my girls the entire time, he interacts with them literally as little as possible, my 2 year old doesn't even call him Papa. My mom is inactive in my sister's children's lives as well but my FIL does everything for SIL's children and it's so heartbreaking to watch. I just want my children to grow up with grandparents and a close family and I'm realizing that's just never going to happen. No matter how much I try to include our families they just couldn't care less. My FIL has NEVER even held our 8 month old and he's held our toddler 4 times! FOUR. TIMES. My MIL is just as bad as FIL but she's open about her favoring our nephew, she lives the closest and we see her even less than FIL. I just don't understand why my children deserve this treatment. I do everything these people ask of me, I help out in any way I can and have always been kind, I just don't get it, how can someone treat my children so cold? ??
