Car seat help!

My 7 week old flips s*** every. Single. Time. We get in the car. She's in a Graco Snugride 30, what the fack is the deal?! She is a pretty easy going baby except when she gets in the car and she will scream until we stop. I literally can't make it 10 minutes without her flipping out. There's nothing wrong, she's fed and has a clean diaper, she's not hot or cold, she just hates the damn car seat and it's driving me INSANE! I need to be able to drive without wanting to bang my head against a sharp rock! I'm supposed to be making a three hour trip next weekend and I don't know how I'm going to do it with DD not able to sit for more than a few minutes at a time. Is there anything I can do??! Does she need a different seat? A convertible? What?!???
