Unappreciated
Here's my pity party, if I don't let it all out I might just burst. Let me start this by saying my DH is a great man, truly, he works hard and takes care of our family. I'm a SAHM, I take care of everything, literally everything, the house, all laundry, the animals, our children, I make sure my DH has everything he needs for anything and I'm not complaining because this is the role I've taken on. That being said, a little appreciation would be nice, I feel like everything I do revolves around someone else and that's ok but I need some acknowledgement, I need to be told that he appreciates everything I do for him and our children. I tell him all the time about how I'm so thankful for him and all that he does for us. I compliment him all the time on everything, his looks, his hard work, anything. I get nothing, literally, the last time I got a compliment was because his Grandma said "she's beautiful isn't she" and he said "yep" ? I don't know I'm just in a rut today and I'm feeling quite self conscious over everything (I'm 3 weeks postpartum and I'm feeling quite yucky looking). I don't know if he's fallen into routine and compliments/being verbally thankful are just supposed to be known, he used to compliment me and was always openly appreciative. Maybe I'm just overreacting but I just needed to let everything out before I lock myself in the bathroom and cry.
