Bittersweet.

So in 10th grade, I met my best friend. He was a 6'3 southern boy from Oklahoma, who had just moved to Colorado when his dad got a new job. We became best friends, and he was and is the greatest friend I've ever had... he moved back to Oklahoma a little after I found out I was pregnant, but hopped on a flight just a couple days after my DD was born to come meet her... that was nearly two years ago. I was so shocked and surprised that he did that... then this past July, I got a knock on the door one day and it was him. He caught a flight again to tell me that he had joined the navy a few months back and was leaving for basic training. He spent the day with DD and I, then got on a flight back to OK... I cried for hours after he left... He is currently in Chicago at the naval academy.
