Sleep Consultant??

Has anyone ever hired a sleep consultant? Did it work? Tomorrow I think I need to call one because we are exhausted and desperate to get some sleep. My lo is 18 weeks old and the past few weeks he has been waking up every 1 to 2hrs all night long! He is breast fed and still sleeps in our room. I put him down at night at 8:30pm and before 10pm, he is awake again crying, so I go back in to feed him again until he goes back to sleep. That's pretty much the whole cycle all night long. Usually around 3am I'm so tired that I just hold him and fall asleep that way and then wake up in pain from sleeping in one position. I have tried pumping and giving him a bottle to make sure he was full enough but yet again, he's awake 1hr later. I don't know what went wrong...before this he had some nights where he slept all night till 4am.
