Rejecting Formula

Hi, girls! My son turned 11 months on the 21st and he has been rejecting his bottle/formula. He is at most (rarely) doing 18 ounces a day. I've tried different cups. He does great with table food...3 meals + 2 snacks a day of a variety of foods. I've spoke to his dr and she said to try to sneak it wherever possible...cereal, scrambled eggs etc. She also said wait a week and try mixing in some cows milk to change the flavor since he may have developed a distaste to the formula. My question is...has anyone else experienced this? I feel bad because I know formula should be his #1 source of nutrition but I can't let him starve if he just won't drink it!!!
